P2 (b) Script identifying the visual effects

Script identifying the visual effects

2D Graphics:

This Visual Effect was used to further develop the narrative of the commercial, I used bright colours to attract the audiences attention combined with a large typeface. This effect was the most appropriate effect at this point in the film as it broke away from the real time footage sequence that could become repetitive. In terms of how my script identified the effect I described how I wanted the effect to look and what text and imagery would show at what point.

Once again I used 2D graphics so I could provide more information to the target audience in short space of time and creating eye catching graphics. The script is very specific in terms of what should be happening on screen with the effect and I built the effect with this in mind.

Shooting Effect:
This Visual effect was used to illustrate a toy tank 'shooting' something which is impossible in reality and is an effect that my target audience would like to see. I decided to go with a cartoon style effect because it emphasised a more lighthearted effect which correlated with the theme of the video. My script specifically noted that I wanted to use a cartoon style to emphasise the lightheartedness of this segment of the video.

Inserting 3D tanks:

The 3D effects in this production were very important as without these assets it would be impossible to create the second half of the production, as they were a key mechanic within the narrative and the concept as a whole. This effect was used in many scenes, simply because without it, it would be impossible to shoot the film.

When producing a script for this effect I wrote down exactly what I wanted to happen by the end result as this would give me a clearer picture of what I had to do.

Lightning Effect:

For this effect I required my actor to move in a certain position to get the most realistic look and to also ensure this I noted the effect down in the script.
